The Liberals chose Clément Gignac, a 54-year old economist. He served as adviser to the Deputy Minister of Finance of Canada. He was an economist at the National Bank and holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Laval University. He is married with three children.
The Parti Quebecois’s candidate is Christine Normandin, 25 years old. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bio-medical Sciences from the University of Montreal and did her training as an apprentice at Manipal, India studying melanoma. She went through a re-orientation in her career to become a lawyer in 2006. She studied Law at the University of Quebec in Montreal.
The Action démocratique is represented by one of its vice presidents, Me Diane Charbonneau. She is the mother of two children and a former president of the business people group. She is a lawyer and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1999.
Father of two and a business manager for more than 10 years, Julien Leclerc is representing the Green Party. He sits on the Board of Directors of an ecological store in the south west region of Montreal and has been a resident in this area for several years.
The Quebec Solidarity Party is represented by the young Valérie Black St-Laurent. A resident of the riding, she is a student, studying international relations. She hopes to do a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree overseas.
Érik Poulin is 24 years old and a candidate for the Independent Party. He is president of the party’s youth committee and sits on the executive committee responsible for the regions.
Sylvie R. Tremblay is running as an independent candidate. A former vice president of the ADQ, she says that she would like to be a free-thinking MNA, without any party affiliation or hidden agenda. She was a candidate twice in the riding of Verdun, first with the ADQ and then as an independent candidate.

Eight candidates to run in Marguerite-Bourgeoys riding
Partial elections on Monday, June 22
During the December 8, 2008 provincial elections, only four candidates ran in the riding of Marguerite-Bourgeoys. Six months later, that number doubled; no less than eight candidates will be running in partial elections on Monday, June 22.
