Dawson Community Centre, located at 666, Woodland Av. in Verdun, is organizing during World Health Day a Senior Health Conference and Workshop. Taking place on April 7, 2010 from 9:30am to 4:00pm, this event provides to visitors a multitude of free activities.
Financed by the Secrétariat aux aînés, this first edition offers a program that aims to introduce healthy habits to seniors. It will be possible to participate in workshops such as Chi Kung, beauty tips, zumba dance and many more. The conferences will address subjects like nutrition, climate and health, memory changes, etc.
Exhibitors will also be part of the event. Participants will be able to relax during a chair massage, learn about foot care or discuss health evaluations with a kinesiologist.
Dawson Community Centre is a non-profit recreational and educational organization that serves over 700 members yearly as well as many non-members.
