Several hundreds of people took part in a mass vigil ceremony held in memory of David Lockhart who was stabbed to death on Saturday, March 27 by two people at the corner of Lafleur and Jean-Milot streets. Before the march, the crowd gathered at the Newman Place commercial centre holding candles. A great sadness was felt as they walked towards the spot where their friend was savagely attacked for motives that remain unclear. David Lockhart was a young man who was very popular and was an excellent athlete. Christopher Levers, 28 years old, is accused of second degree murder while Kamar Dyett, 21 years old, is being charged with being an accessory to the crime because he tried to conceal the murder weapon.
