Luca Palladini, an 11-year-old resident of LaSalle, completed filming The Year Dolly Parton Was My Mom. This marks the second film in six months for this young up and coming actor. Luca got to work with director Tara Johns, whose other credits include
The Secret Language of Girls and Killing Time. Luca is playing Darryl Jameson, the class clown who is always getting into mischief, a role young Luca said he had fun playing. “This role was fun and easy because I understood the character. Tara was great to work for and it was a fun experience.” Last fall, Luca had the honor of filming opposite Paul Giamatti in Barney's Version. Luca just completed Danse 123’s Take 4 Gala where he is continuing to develop his dancing, singing and acting skills with the professional program under director Connie Rotella. "I know I have to work hard dancing, singing and acting if I want to be able to play any part so I spend a lot of time practicing. I just love to be in front of an audience", says Luca.
