This is a beautiful opportunity for some 300 Midget AAA players to prove their skills before 150 recruiters of the Major Junior and the AAA Junior who will be closely examining the movements of each player. All League players and directors will have the chance to take part in an event which previously was reserved to a limited number, the Classique des étoiles (Stars Classic).
Match of the starsOn Saturday afternoon, December 5, between the quarter round final matches and semi-finals, a stars match bringing together the best Midget Espoir players will be held at the Jacques-Lemaire arena.
Before the December 6 final match, the Midget AAA League will be holding a stars match for the Midget AAA 15-year old players. The selection of 40 players will be conducted by the people responsible for the Quebec Major Hockey Junior League recruitment support centre.
Note that during the Challenge 3rd series held in December 2008, the Draveurs of the Collège Esther-Blondin won, grabbing a 3-2 gain in the grand finals - broadcast on the RDS (Réseau des sports) network.
The directors of the circuit are grateful for the collaboration of LaSalle Borough and wish to thank Mayor Manon Barbe, Councillor Ross Blackhurst, the regional and local people involved in junior hockey, the Lac Saint-Louis region and its president Jean-Pierre Fortier, as well as Yves Lacelle and Michel Brabant, and not to forget the volunteers of the LaSalle AA and the LaSalle Bantam tournament organisations.
